Amundson Customs Foil Drive Lightning Bolt Pro Foil Board - Custom Order

The Lighting Bolt Pro was designed especially for the new Gen2 Foil Drive. This design is best fitted to the intermediate to advanced level riders. This design is most commonly ordered in the 4’8’’ to 5’6’’ lengths and from 18’’ on the narrower side up to 20’’ on the wider side. Volumes tend to be on the lower side at 32 to 40 which gives the design a thinner more responsive performance. The most common feedback on the Gen2 is that the shorter boards with a tail kick tend to “wheelie” when throttling up. The Lightning Bolt Pro has a straighter tail rocker (no “kick” tail) which helps the board come up on foil horizontally. A new feature to the Lightning Bolt Pro is an old feature, a traditional “down rail” instead of the more common bevel bottom rail. The down rail gives this design more effective surface area on the bottom from rail to rail which greatly increases early planing when throttling up. We use 16’’ tracks in these board to give enough travel to accommodate the beginner rider (mast further back) and the more experienced rider (mast forward). Mast forward makes a longer board ride like a much shorter board. The connection between the unit and the controller is perfect with the first in the industry Signal Windows. Most of our customers are not using the foam inserts that Foil Drive supplies for better connectivity, this allows for much easier movement of the mast and FD unit.
